2018 is already a great year for art!
Just thought I would give you a little update. Things have been busy!
This year found my work already happily hanging in the lobby of Castalia at Meadowmont through the Durham Art Guild. The show has about 2 more weeks before we take it down so come to Chapel Hill and see some very colorful large pieces.
We take down the show on Feb. 18th... so hurry!
At the Hillsborough Gallery of Arts, my piece Orlando Rain was juried into the annual show, Resolutions 2018.
I have been working towards a 3 artist show at the Campbell House in Southern Pines through the Arts Council of Moore County. I have a new body of work I am excited to share.
I am happy to be sharing the space with Madonna Phillips and Marjorie Pierson.
The show opens on Friday evening Feb. 2, 2018
6 pm to 8 pm and runs through the 23rd. Don't miss it!
Campbell House, 482 E Connecticut Ave, Southern Pines, NC 28387
So... Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and Southern Pines but back I go to my beloved Raleigh.
Donating art to the VAE has always been a pleasure and for this year's For the Love of Art Gala and Auction, I selected one of my black and white pieces, Alphabet II. Don't forget to get your tickets to this event. It is so much fun! You might come home with a masterpiece!
Let's head up the street to Artspace where I will have 6 paintings adorning the corridors.
This show will run from Feb. 2 to April 28, 2018.
I will have 3 color pieces and 3 black and white pieces.
Below is Meditation #3, which will be part of the group.
Finally, back we go to the VAE where 2 of my black and white pieces were selected for the annual show, Contemporary South.
The show runs from Feb. 2 to March 24, 2018. Don't miss it!
That about wraps it up!
I am dizzy just thinking of this year!
I am so grateful to all of you for your encouragement and inspiration.
Wishing you all the best as we thaw out this winter.
